Highly-coveted Striker Osimhen Reveals He Supported Barcelona Not Real Madrid As A Kid
Published: April 21, 2020Lille striker Victor Osimhen has seemingly backtracked on his previous statement that Real Madrid are his dream club.
Last season, when Osimhen was asked by Belgian broadcaster RTBF
to name his dream club, he answered : "My dream club is Real Madrid.
God willing, I will play for them one day .... because in football
everything is possible".
In a recent interview with Nigeria Info FM, the Nigeria international was quizzed on the club he supported when he was growing up and he answered, 'Barcelona'.
Osimhen has generated transfer interest from Barcelona and Real Madrid as well as Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Liverpool, but chose to remain coy on his next destination should he depart Lille.
"Every footballer dreams of playing in the Premier League because it is the highest in football, so for now I don't really know which one to choose between La Liga and EPL.
"To play in one of the biggest clubs in the world has been my dream also, of course I am open to playing in EPL or La Liga. After the pandemic we'll see and I will decide my future,'' he added.

Lille's idea is to keep Osimhen at the club for at least one more season but they could be forced to sell the 18-goal striker if they receive a significant fee from an interested team.
