Bordeaux Want Super Eagles Winger Samuel Kalu Back In France By End Of April
Published: April 21, 2020French club Bordeaux want Nigeria international Samuel Kalu back in France by the end of this month, according to reports.
L'Equipe says in anticipation of the resumption of training in mid-May, Bordeaux have taken steps to repatriate their players currently abroad so that they return to France around the end of April.
Apart from Kalu, Vukasin Jovanovic and Edson Mexer were allowed to return to their respective countries to spend time with their families in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
It is unclear if the three players will observe fourteen days of self-isolation upon their return to France.
French President Emmanuel Macron has announced the coronavirus lockdown will end on May 11, and Bordeaux are expected to resume training four days later.
This season, Kalu has made twenty appearances in the Ligue 1, scoring one goal and was in action for 1,360 minutes.
