Chukwueze Names Five-A-Side Team And Includes His Pal Osimhen, Ex-Chelsea Defender, Leicester Ace
Published: April 25, 2020In an Instagram conversation with our colleagues Eagles Tracker on Saturday night, Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze included his good pal, Victor Osimhen when he was asked to pick his dream five-a-side team.
The two young players were influential members of the Golden Eaglets team that won the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup, with Osimhen winning the Golden Boot award and Chukwueze awarded the Bronze Boot.
They were teammates in the Flying Eagles and Olympic Eagles before they were fast-tracked into the Super Eagles.
Three other players who have played with Chukwueze in the Super Eagles are also in the mix.
Former Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo was partnered in defence by ex-Chelsea star Kenneth Omeruo.
Leicester City's Wilfred Ndidi was named in midfield while the other two spots were taken by Ahmed Musa and Osimhen.
Strangely, Chukwueze's five-a-side team did not have a goalkeeper and he quickly named himself to be in between the pipes upon realizing his error.
When asked to name his favourite Nigerian players, the 20-year-old selected Jay-Jay Okocha and Nwankwo Kanu.
