Uzoho Names Man Utd As Favorite Club, Ex-Chelsea Stars Included In 5-A-Side Team; Picks Between Messi & Ronaldo
Published: April 28, 2020Deportivo de La Coruña goalkeeper Francis Uzoho is the latest Super Eagles player to answer questions via Instagram from the Super Eagles Media Team.
The 21-year-old is nearing a return to full fitness after suffering a horrendous injury during the second half of Nigeria's 1-1 draw with Brazil in an international friendly, which required surgery and kept him inactive since October 13.
Asked for the club he supports all the time, Uzoho responded 'Manchester United'.
On the better player between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, he went for Juventus' Portugal international.
Uzoho then rubbished claims that he was scared in the build-up to Messi's opening goal for Argentina against the Super Eagles at the 2018 World Cup.
"Let me say the truth, I positioned myself but he scored. I tried to dive but the ball went past me," Uzoho stressed.
"I wasn't scared when they gave Messi the pass, when he controlled the ball and when he shot, I was focused on the ball."
When asked to name his dream five-a-side team consisting of only Super Eagles players past and present, he chose Vincent Enyeama in goal, former Chelsea star Kenneth Omeruo and Chidozie Awaziem in defence, Chelsea legend Obi Mikel and Leicester City's Wilfred Ndidi in midfield and Kelechi Iheanacho in attack .
