Maduka Okoye Includes Osimhen, Okocha In 5-A-Side Team; Picks Messi Over Ronaldo; Prefers Okocha To Kanu
Published: May 01, 2020Fortuna Düsseldorf goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has picked a five-a-side team featuring three of his current teammates in the Super Eagles.
Speaking to the Super Eagles Media Team via Instagram, the one-cap Nigeria international opted to include an extra player in his 'five-a-side team' in the shape of former Lille glovesman Vincent Enyeama.
Marseille icon Taye Taiwo and Leon Balogun, whom he called his German brother, are the defenders in his ideal five-a-side team containing past and present Super Eagles stars.
As for the midfield, he picked Wilfred Ndidi, saying the Leicester City ace is everywhere, before adding Jay-Jay Okocha as the second player, while he went for ex-Wolfsburg striker Victor Osimhen as the lone striker.
In a trivia question and answer session, Okoye named Liverpool, who are coached by a German Jurgen Klopp, as his favourite club in the English Premier League; chose Barcelona captain Lionel Messi over Cristiano Ronaldo, and prefers ex-Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Okocha to Nwankwo Kanu.
Regarding his future at Fortuna Düsseldorf, Okoye claimed that he could be heading to an unnamed Dutch Eredivisie club next season.
