Villarreal Hero Uche Offers Transfer Advice To Chukwueze Amid Chelsea, Arsenal Links
Nigeria's all-time record goalscorer in La Liga history with 43 goals combined for five different clubs, Ikechukwu Uche has offered transfer advice to Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze amid speculation linking him with a move to the English Premier League, with the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea credited with an interest.

Chukwueze forced his way into the Villarreal first team last season but his situation has changed this term as he is finding it difficult to be named in the starting lineup, making only 13 starts from a possible 27 before La Liga was halted.

You would have expected the Super Eagles rising star to have surpassed his displays of last season when it comes to goals and assists but that isn't exactly the case as he has been involved in only six goals from 26 league matches whereas he contributed to seven goals from the same number of games over the course of the 2018-2019 campaign.

Former Villarreal striker Uche believes that Chukwueze will remain a good payer irrespective of whether or not he changes clubs in the summer transfer window.

"Him staying where he is is okay, it's a big team, if he considers changing it is still okay but everything depends on many factors, it's not about not getting the minutes," Uche said on Chukwueze when quizzed by the Super Eagles Media team in an  Instagram chat on Sunday evening.

"Some people move because they are not getting minutes, some people they don't move because they are getting the minutes, his case is different, it's not really about getting or not getting minutes.

"If he stays, he still has a lot to learn, he is very good. Sometimes making a move might make you understand what to do and even make you get better in football.

"He's in good hands, the people that will advise him to do one thing or the other, so him staying or not will still be good for him because he's a good player."

Despite Chukwueze's dwindling playing opportunities at Villarreal, Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr has opted to keep his faith in the 20-year-old by naming him in the starting lineup in each of the four matches played by the Super Eagles post-AFCON.
