'Camavinga Is Clearly Above Ndidi'- Ex-Glasgow Rangers Star Makes Dubious Claim About PSG Target
One-time Glasgow Rangers goalkeeper Lionel Charbonnier has urged French champions Paris Saint-Germain to go for highly coveted Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga instead of pursing a deal for Wilfred Ndidi.

With PSG in the market for a central midfielder, Ndidi, Tiémoué Bakayako and Thomas Partey are the names being bandied about as potential reinforcements in the summer.

Charbonnier has sensationally claimed that Nigeria international who has the experience of playing in the Premier League, World Cup, Africa Cup of Nations, Champions League and Europa League is an inferior player to the 17-year-old Camavinga, who has less than 45 games under his belt as a professional.

"Wilfred Ndidi for PSG, I'm not too much of a fan of the idea," Charbonnier said to RMC via Foot Sur 7.

"For PSG, Camavinga is necessary even if it will be at €60-70m. He has an Ndidi in each leg. He is clearly above.

"If he absolutely had to go to a big club, it would be easier to adapt to France than to Spain where the culture is different. He could get lost faster than if he went to PSG."

Since moving to Europe from Nath Boys Academy in 2015, Ndidi has racked up 213 appearances combined for Racing Genk and Leicester City, scoring 15 goals.
