Former West Ham Star Victor Obinna Expects To Return To Football In Cyprus
Published: July 17, 2020According to information gathered by allnigeriasoccer.com, former West Ham star Victor Obinna expects to continue his career in Cyprus.
The Nigeria national-teamer is in advanced talks with an unnamed Cypriot First Division club over a transfer.
Obinna is represented by Cypriot agent Tekin Birinci, same intermediary that brokered the deal that recently took Taye Taiwo to Doxa Katokopias and he wants to play with his former Super Eagles and Flying Eagles teammate in Cyprus.
A member of Nigeria's 2005 U20 Africa Cup of Nations winning squad, the striker cum winger is currently employed after parting company with Cape Town City in February 2018.
Obinna has a glittering curriculum vitae at club and international level, having made appearances in the Italian Serie A, English Premier League, German Bundesliga and Spanish La Liga, and featured in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa after winning silver at the 2008 Olympic Games.
Apart from the aforementioned clubs, the Enyimba product has turned out for Chievo Verona, Malaga, Lokomotiv Moscow, MSV Duisburg and Darmstadt 98.
