Ejuke To Turn Down Move To Galatasaray; French, Russian Clubs In Talks With Heerenveen
Published: July 20, 2020According to information gathered by allnigeriasoccer.com, Chidera Ejuke will turn down a move to Galatasaray in the summer transfer window amid speculation at home and abroad linking the SC Heerenveen wing wizard with the Turkish Super Lig giants.
It was suggested that Galatasaray were lining up a move for the Super Eagles hopeful as a replacement for Henry Onyekuru who has returned to Monaco following the end of his loan spell, but those reports are wide of the mark.
The Lions have made no official contact with Ejuke and SC Heerenveen and even if they do so, the winger has no plans to join a Turkish club this summer as he feels that is not the right step at this stage of his career.
French and Russian clubs have opened a line of communication with the Dutch Eredivisie side over the signing of their Nigerian star but no agreement has been reached because they failed to meet the player's asking price.
SC Heerenveen rejected a bid in the region of eight million euros from a Chinese club for the former Valerenga starlet around two months ago.
The 22-year-old Ejuke had a breakout season at the Super Frisians, scoring 10 goals in 29 matches while providing six assists.
