Liverpool's Nigeria-Eligible Striker Reveals Who She's Backing To Win Champions League
Published: August 23, 2020Liverpool FC Women striker of Nigerian descent Rinsola Babajide is tipping Bayern Munich to win the UEFA Champions League final.
While the German Bundesliga giants are aiming to win their sixth Champions League title, their opponents on Sunday evening Paris Saint-Germain have not won the competition in their 50-year history.
No French club has managed to win the Champions League since Marseille lifted the trophy in 1993.
Though it is unclear why Babajide is backing the Bavarians, former Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho and two Nigerian-eligible teenagers in Joshua Zirkzee and Jamal Musiala are with the Bayern Munich squad in Lisbon.
In addition, Bayern Munich have the same nickname as Liverpool, The Reds.
The Liverpool FC Women Player of the Season believes Robert Lewandowski will be too hot to handle for the French team.
Writing on Twitter, Babajide stated : " I’m backing Bayern tonight, Lewandowski to do a madness pls 🥺🤩 #UCLFinal #BayernPSG".
Meanwhile, Joshua Zirkzee has been named on the substitutes bench for Bayern Munich but his teammate Musiala has not been included in the matchday 23 against PSG.
