Top Ten Goals 2019-20 Europa League : UEFA Selects Man Utd Striker Ighalo's Beauty
Published: August 26, 2020UEFA's team of Technical Observers have selected their top ten goals of the 2019/20 UEFA Europa League season, the official website of European football administrative body informed on Wednesday, August 26.
Manchester United striker Odion Ighalo made the cut for the ten most eye-catching goals for his beauty against LASK in the round of 16, first leg at Linzer Stadion, Linz on March 12.
Twenty eight minutes into the contest, the former Nigeria international broke the deadlock when he set himself and scored magnificently.
He controlled the ball three times before firing
home a spectacular effort in off the underside of the bar from just
inside the area.
Ighalo's impressive finish, one of the five goals he scored for the Red Devils last term, was voted the club's Goal of the Month for March 2020.
Strikes from Wahbi Khazri, Galeno, Manuel Fernandes, Marcus Rashford, Romelu Lukaku, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Gabriel Martinelli, Ruben Neves and Claudiu Keșerü have also been picked among the top ten goals of the Europa League.
Ighalo registered two goals and provided an assist in five appearances in the Europa League in the recently concluded season.
