Rangers Boss Gerrard Confirms Aribo Won't Be Able To Face Hamilton; Balogun To Be Assessed
Published: August 28, 2020Speaking at Friday morning's press conference monitored by allnigeriasoccer.com, Rangers coach Steven Gerrard has confirmed that Nigeria international Joe Aribo won't be available for selection against Hamilton Academical on Saturday, August 29.
The former Charlton Athletic man picked up a training ground injury before the trip to Kilmarnock and it was earlier thought that he would return to action to this weekend.
Gerrard revealed that Leon Balogun has returned to full training and will be assessed this morning before he decides whether he's included or not in the traveling squad to Hamilton.
Providing a fitness update on his squad, Gerrard told the national press in Scotland :"Jermain Defoe and Joe Aribo won't make the Hamilton game. Both should be ready for the game after.

"Allan McGregor has had no reaction and has trained fully all week, so two positive news but unfortunately Joe and Jermain won't make the weekend."
Rangers's first game after the international break comes up against Dundee United on September 12.
