'QPR Got The Right Money' - Warburton Says Eze's Move To Crystal Palace Good For All Parties
Published: September 03, 2020Queens Park Rangers manager Mark Warburton has insisted that Eberechi Eze's transfer to Crystal Palace was a good move for all the parties involved.
With The Hoops facing uncertain economic times due to the coronavirus pandemic, they agreed to sell their Player of the Season to the Eagles about a week ago in exchange for £19.5 million if performance-related variables are included.
The 22-year-old attacking midfielder has committed his future to Crystal Palace for the next five seasons, until the summer of 2025.
"When any player moves at any level, it's got to represent value for all parties," Warburton said on talkSPORT.
"It has to be the right move for the player of course, it has to be good for the selling club.
"In general it has to be the right value, QPR were very clear on what they wanted and they got the right money.
"Everyone is happy moving forward."
Eze made 112 appearances spread across three years and scored 20 goals during his time with Queens Park Rangers.
