Talented Midfielder Akinola Reacts After Competitive Debut For Arsenal U21s
Published: September 09, 2020Talented Nigerian-born midfielder Tim Akinola has taken to social media to express his delight at making his competitive debut for Arsenal in their EFL Trophy clash against Ipswich Town at Portman Road on Tuesday evening.
The 19-year-old entered the game as a substitute in the 65th minute, replacing another summer signing in Salah-Eddine Oulad M'hand.

The Gunners came back from a goal down to secure a 2-1 win against the Tractor Boys, thanks to strikes from George Lewis and prolific striker Folarin Balogun.
With eleven minutes remaining, Akinola entered the referee's notebook for a for a strong challenge on Myles Kenlock.
"Big win last night in my first competitive game with the club! Onto the next🔴," Akinola posted on Instagram Wednesday night.
The former Huddersfield Town starlet has been assigned the number 61 jersey for the 2020-2021 campaign and he wore the number during yesterday's win against Ipswich Town.
Akinola will be hoping to make his debut in the Premier League 2 when Arsenal take on Southampton on Friday, September 11.
