Southampton Hoping To Negotiate Deal To Sign Super Eagles Striker
Published: September 10, 2020Southampton have joined the glut of Premier League clubs linked with a move for Nigeria international Emmanuel Dennis.
Daily Echo UK citing Voetbalkrant has revealed that the Saints are willing to use their defender Wesley Hoedt as a make-weight in any potential deal to bring the Super Eagle to the St Mary's stadium.
Sheffield United and lately Marseille have reportedly expressed interest in the coveted striker who is valued in the region of €20 million by Club Brugge.
However, the report suggest the inclusion of Hoedt in the negotiation could help the club reduce Brugge's asking price for the Nigerian.
Dennis has played nonstop at Club Brugge since 2017 after transferring from Zorya Lugansk in Ukraine.
The 22-year-old has helped Club Brugge win two First Division A titles since his arrival in Belgium and is credited with 28 goals in 105 appearances for the West Flanders club.
