Chelsea Coach Lampard Explains Why Moses Has Been Unavailable For Selection In New Season
Chelsea coach Frank Lampard commented on the future of former Nigeria international Victor Moses during Monday's pre-match press conference ahead of his side's clash with Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup.

The versatile winger has returned to Stamford Bridge after spending last season on loan at Fenerbahce and Inter Milan.

There's every indication that Moses is not in the plans of Lampard for the 2020-2021 season as he has not been called up to train with the first team and the future of the Crystal Palace Academy product could be decided as early as next week, before the summer transfer window closes for business.

The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner has entered the final nine months of his contract and Chelsea are aware they could lose him for nothing if he is not sold within the next one week.

When asked if Moses was going to play a part for him this season, Lampard told reporters : "At the moment Victor is not in that position with us. We have a bubble at the training ground for the first team squad which Victor hasn't been a part of.

"But I know Victor having played alongside him, I know him well, so we will see how that develops over the next week."

Apart from Fenerbahce and Inter Milan, Moses has also spent time on loan at Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham since joining Chelsea from Wigan Athletic in August 2012.
