Arsenal-Linked Playmaker Olise Scores Again To Help Reading Maintain Unbeaten Start
Published: October 28, 2020Reading maintained their unbeaten start to the 2020-2021 Championship season by thrashing Blackburn Rovers 4-2 at Ewood Park on Tuesday night.
The Royals lead the way in the second-tier of English football with 22 points after winning seven games while drawing the other.
France U18 international of Nigerian descent, Michael Olise marked his return to Reading's starting lineup by finding the net in the 15th minute to give the visitors a 2-1 lead.
The 18-year-old playmaker showed great composure when through on goal and fired in low for his second strike of the season.
His thunderbolt against Barnsley on matchday 2 - his first senior goal - was nominated for the Championship Goal of the Month for September 2020.
Olise has put himself in the shop window after a string of fine performances and a number of Premier League clubs are keeping tabs on him with a view to a transfer in the near future.
The Daily Mail reported this month that Arsenal, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leeds United are interested in the signature of the midfielder who is eligible to represent Nigeria, England and France.
