Published: November 11, 2020The Super Eagles under the guidance of manager Gernot Rohr held their second training session at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City on Wednesday evening, two days before they take on Sierra Leone in a 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Napoli striker Victor Osimhen was involved in the workout following his arrival in Benin City after overcoming a travel delay.
West Brom central defender Semi Ajayi and SC Paderborn left-back Jamilu Collins have also reported for international duty and both trained this evening.
As for Daniel Akpeyi, it is confirmed that he has arrived in Nigeria, however, he was not physically sighted during the training session.
A headcount showed a total of twenty-two players present at the stadium, meaning Rohr has all the invited players at his disposal with the exception of the Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper and Abdullahi Shehu.
Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki briefly addressed the players and officials before the start of the training session.
