'There's No Competition Between Me And Iheanacho, Onuachu' - Osimhen Ready To Help Eagles
Published: November 13, 2020Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has admitted that he is not competing with the likes of Kelechi Iheanacho and Paul Onuachu ahead of the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches with Sierra Leone.
In his absence for last month's friendlies in Austria, manager Gernot Rohr selected Onuachu and Musa to lead the line against Algeria and Tunisia respectively, while Iheanacho scored the Super Eagles' only goal.
Osimhen pointed out that it is the responsibility of Rohr to decide which of the players in the squad are starting, adding that he's ready to help the Super Eagles when called upon.
"For me there is no competition between me and the likes of Iheanacho, Dennis and Onuachu," Osimhen told reporters.
"Whosoever the coach has called upon to play will surely give his one hundred percent but of course I am also ready to help the team with my own quality also which is important.
"The most important thing is the victory tomorrow and to play well and to satisfy the fans which is really good".

Since the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations ended, Osimhen is Nigeria's top scorer with four goals in four starts.
