Iheanacho Tells Sierra Leone Poster Boy Kei Kamara Super Eagles Are On A Revenge Mission
Published: November 17, 2020Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho has warned the poster boy of the Sierra Leone National Team, Kei Kamara that the Super Eagles are on a revenge mission in Tuesday evening's 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Siaka Stevens Stadium.
The Super Eagles are seeking to salvage their dented reputation in today's clash after surrendering a four-goal lead last Friday at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.
Iheanacho and Kamara had a conversation during training at the National Stadium in Sierra Leone on Monday evening and the Super Eagle informed the Minnesota United frontman that they mean business.
In a video circulating on social media, Iheanacho said in Pidgin English: "Una try but we no go mercy for una here. We vex come, we dey vex."
Kamara replied : "This na Freetown, we don't lose in Freetown, I tell you this now".
Iheanacho responded : "Everything is free in Freetown".
With Napoli striker Victor Osimhen out through injury, Iheanacho is battling Belgian-based duo Emmanuel Dennis and Paul Onuachu for the center forward position against Sierra Leone.
In seven previous visits to Sierra Leone, Nigeria have won two matches, drawn three and lost on two occasions.
