Napoli Striker Osimhen Arrives In Rome To Undergo Further Tests On Shoulder Problem
Published: November 18, 2020Victor Osimhen has arrived in the Italian capital Rome to undergo further tests on his shoulder problem.
The Napoli striker reportedly dislocated his shoulder during the second half of Nigeria's 4-4 draw with Sierra Leone last Friday and subsequently missed the return leg in Freetown yesterday.
Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr fears Osimhen could be out of action for at least two weeks but the tests scheduled to hold in the coming hours will determine if he faces a shorter or longer spell on the sidelines.
Tuttomercatoweb's Dario Marchetti told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli : "There is optimism about Victor Osimhen's conditions, but we await the outcome of the exams that the player will have to do. We will know more later.
"At the moment rumors are filtering, it seems that it is not as serious as it was said. he can certainly miss the match against Milan, but there is hope for him to return to the Europa League against Rijeka.
"The hope is faint, but it must still be registered. We will know more about the attacker's condition soon."
In nine outings combined for club and country in the 2020-2021 season, Osimhen has scored 3 goals while assisting three others.
