Published: December 12, 2020Chelsea coach Frank Lampard once again ran the rule over Nigeria-eligible winger Faustino Anjorin ahead of his side's eagerly anticipated Premier League meeting with Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday night, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
The training photos published by the official website of the Blues confirm that Anjorin trained alongside first team stars such as N'Golo Kante, Antonio Rüdiger, Kurt Zouma, Olivier Giroud, Kai Havetz, Tammy Abraham and Timo Werner on Friday before the squad traveled to Merseyside.
Lamaprd has retained the Anglo-Nigerian in the first team squad after he impressed on his Champions League debut against Krasnodar.
With Hakim Ziyech and Callum Hudson-Odoi still recovering from injuries, Anjorin is in contention to make his first Premier League appearance this season.
His only appearance to date in the English top-flight was against Everton on March 8, 2020, playing the last nineteen minutes of a 4-0 win at Stamford Bridge.
The 19-year-old has scored three goals in six matches for Chelsea's youth teams this season, including a brace vs Bristol Rovers in the EFL Trophy last month.
