Reading Young Star Olise Scores, Assisted By Ejaria In Loss To Norwich City
Published: December 16, 2020Reading playmaker Michael Olise is showing that he can make the leap to the English Premier League in future going by his outstanding performances in the 2020-2021 season, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
The France youth international of Nigerian descent was on target for the second consecutive game - four days after his nineteenth birthday - as the Royals were beaten 2-1 by Championship table-toppers Norwich City at the Madejski Stadium on Wednesday night.
It was his fifth goal involvement (2 goals, 3 assists) in his last seven appearances in the division.
Buendia capitalized and slotted in to open the scoring after Reading gave away possession in the 11th minute but the lead lasted three minutes with Olise equalising.
Ovie Ejaria saw his effort deflect in off Olise and the goal was awarded to the number 7, with a third Nigerian Sone Aluko involved in the build-up to the equaliser.
Reading were denied a point by Teemu Pukki who converted from the spot in the 55th minute.
Olise has been in involved in all of the nineteen matches played by Reading this season, fourteen of which he started.
