Reading's Olise Joins Barcelona, Real Madrid Legends In Maurice Revello Tournament TOTM
Published: January 05, 2021In-demand Reading teenager Michael Olise has been included in the Maurice Revello Tournament Team of the Month for December 2020.
The Team of the Month contains players who have featured in the prestigious competition formerly known as the Toulon Tournament.
Olise was eligible to make the Team of the Month having represented France U18s in the tournament back in June 2019, making two starts against Qatar and Guatemala.
The Team of the Month features some well known names such as Real Madrid and Barcelona legends Cristiano Ronaldo and Dani Alves who now defend the colours of Juventus and Sao Paulo respectively.
Last month, Olise made seven appearances for Reading in the Championship and directly participated in four goals (2 goals, 2 assists), bringing his total to 4 goals and 8 assists from 22 league games so far this season.
Other players on the list include Ederson (Manchester City), Michael Keane (Everton), Gilberto (Benfica), Hugo Ayala (Tigres), Matt Targett (Aston Villa), Kaoru Mitoma (Kawasaki Frontale), Lukas Nmecha (Anderlecht) and Andy Delort (Montpellier).
In a 4-4-2 formation, Olise is deployed as a number 6 and is joined in midfield by Alves, Ronaldo and Mitoma.
