Balogun Involved In Arsenal Final Training Session Ahead Of FA Cup Clash Vs Newcastle United
Published: January 08, 2021Folarin Balogun could be in line to play his first-ever game in the Emirates FA Cup against Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday evening.
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that the England youth international of Nigerian descent participated in the Gunners final workout at London Colney on Friday.
Speculation has continued to link Balogun with an exit from Arsenal in the summer when he comes off contract with the club he joined at U8 level.
To date the 19-year-old has only appeared in five first team games - four of them coming in the group stage of the Europa League and the other in the Carabao Cup defeat to Manchester City.
He has been directly involved in three goals (2 goals, 1 assist) in just 74 minutes on the pitch for Arsenal's first team.
Balogun's contract is up in the summer of 2021 and he's already attracting a lot of suitors.
Midfielder Miguel Azeez, goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo and right-back Ryan Albeiosu have trained with Arsenal in recent days.
