Everton Linked With Loan Move For Bayern Munich Striker Zirkzee
Published: January 16, 2021According to talkSPORT, Everton are closing in on a loan move for Bayern Munich striker with Nigerian background Joshua Zirkzee.
In addition, there is talk that the proposed temporary switch to the Toffees could be made permanent at the end of the 2020-2021 season.
Around a year ago, everyone was talking about Zirkzee even Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr who personally scouted him on his full Bundesliga debut but the teenage striker has fallen out of favour this season.
The Netherlands U21 international notched three goals in his first four Bundesliga games last season whereas he has yet to open his account in the German top-flight this term after three games.
Eintracht Frankfurt had been linked with a loan move for Zirkzee but preferred to bring back their former striker Luka Jovic from Real Madrid.
Everton are in the market for a striker to provide cover for the injured Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Zirkzee trained with the Goodison Park outfit before joining Bayern Munich's youth team in the summer of 2017.
