Arsenal Youngster Names Glasgow Rangers Midfielder Ebiowei As Best Player He Has Faced
Published: January 18, 2021In an interview with Arsenal Matchday Programme's Aidan Small ahead of the visit of Newcastle United to the Emirates Stadium, dynamic midfielder Mauro Bandeira was asked a variety of questions ranging from his style of play, how he joined Arsenal and lowdown on his teammates.
Asked to name the best players he has faced, the Portuguese-born youngster replied : "Alfie Devine (Tottenham) or Malcolm Ebiowei (Rangers)".
Ebiowei was teammates with Bandeira until 2019 when he was surprisingly released by the Gunners who passed up the opportunity to sign him on scholarship terms.
The 17-year-old trained with the Nigeria U17 National Team before the 2019
U17 World Cup and was included in the provisional squad list for the
tournament in Brazil.
He later sealed a move to Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers in February 2020 and plays for their academy teams.

On the academy player with the best passing range, Bandeira selected Spanish-Nigerian midfielder Miguel Azeez.
Azeez made his first team debut in a Europa League fixture against Dundalk last month, entering the game as a substitute to replace another Hale End product Joe Willock in the 83rd minute.
