Arteta Promotes Teenage Right-back Alebiosu To First Team Training Pre-Wolverhampton Wanderers
Published: February 01, 2021Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that manager Mikel Arteta promoted teenage Nigeria-eligible right-back Ryan Alebiosu to first team training ahead of Arsenal's Premier League meeting with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Spanish football tactician ran the rule over the 19-year-old in the final workout held at London Colney on Monday.
Alebiosu has yet to make his professional debut for the Gunners but has been invited to train with the first team several times, even when Unai Emery was in charge.
He can certainly be considered as a versatile player as he is
comfortable playing as a winger, fullback, wing-back and midfielder.
Alebiosu will be wearing the number 36 jersey if selected in the 20-player matchday squad vs Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The promising teenager has been on the books of Arsenal since the age of seven, after he was spotted while playing for his local club Lyndhurst FC.
Last August, he signed his first professional contract, a two-year deal, with Arsenal holding an option to extend by a further two years.
