Liverpool Winger Beats Crystal Palace's Eze, 6 Others To Premier League Goal Of The Month
Published: February 12, 2021Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah has won the Premier League Goal of the Month for January 2021, informs the Premier League on their official website.
The Egypt international's sensational counter-attacking goal against West Ham was voted the best in the division.
England U21 international of Nigerian descent Eberechi Eze was nominated for the accolade along with strikes from Marcos Alonso (Chelsea), Kieran Tierney, Bukayo Saka (both Arsenal),
Tanguy Ndombele, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (both Tottenham) and Patrick Bamford
(Leeds), but they all missed out on the award.
Eze' sensational goal against Sheffield United made the shortlist, he breezed past a number of Blades players from the half-way line before nonchalantly rolling the ball into the far corner.
This is the second time this season that the former Queens Park Rangers star has missed out on the Goal of the Month prize.
Eze was previously nominated for the award in November, after his eye-catching free-kick against Leeds United.
