Liverpool Icon McManaman Labels Lookman 'A Talented Boy' But Was Shy At Everton
Published: February 16, 2021Liverpool icon Steve McManaman has given Fulham winger Ademola Lookman a huge compliment by revealing that the 2017 U20 World Cup winner is a talented player but was quiet during his stay at Everton.
Since Lookman's return to the English Premier League, he has been a shining light for Fulham who are battling with relegation.
The Super Eagles hopeful did not really hit the heights at Everton, making fourteen starts across two and a half seasons before he was sold to RB Leipzig in the summer of 2019.
"He probably has got a point to prove. I was speaking to Ashley about him before and he said he was quite shy at Everton," McManaman said on BT Sport via HITC.
"He’s travelled around and he just needs a home at the moment. He needs to stay and play for a number of years but you can see he’s certainly a talented boy."

The 23-year-old Lookman has netted three goals and registered three assists in 20 Premier League matches for Fulham.
