Reading's Olise, Orlando City Loanee Dike named in Championship Team of the Week
Published: March 08, 2021Two Nigeria-eligible youngsters in Reading's Michael Olise and Orlando City loanee Daryl Dike have been included in the latest Championship Team of the Week powered by Whoscored on the back of their impressive displays for their respective clubs this past weekend.
Olise ended a 13-game goal drought in the second-tier of English football when he opened the scoring on the half-hour mark in Reading's 3-0 hammering of Sheffield Wednesday.
Dike continued his purple patch as he scored the winning goal for Barnsley in their 1-0 victory against Birmingham City, helping the Reds set a club record for successive wins in the process.
In a 4-4-2 formation, Olise is one of the two central midfielders and Dike one of the two attackers.
Against the Owls, Dike won a joint-game high ten aerial duels, played a game-high three shots, and also completed the most key passes (three) while making three clearances.
Olise was successful in 90.9 percent of his passes against Sheffield Wednesday, made a game-high three key passes, completed two take-ons, and his three clearances was a team-high figure.
