Ex-Queens Park Rangers star Osayi-Samuel opens his account for Fenerbahce
Published: March 08, 2021It has taken Bright Osayi-Samuel nine matches in all competitions to open his goalscoring account for Turkish giants Fenerbahce, whom he joined from Queens Park Rangers on a permanent deal in the January transfer window.
Osayi-Samuel found the net for the Yellow Canaries for the first time as they recorded a 3-0 win over Konyaspor at the Medaş Konya Büyükşehir Stadyumu on Monday evening.
Thirty two minutes into the game, the Nigerian-born winger used his blistering pace to get past two Koyaspor players and slotted past goalkeeper Ibrahim Sehic.
Fenerbache's other scorers were Attila Szalai and Serdar Aziz in the 29th and 90th minute respectively.
Osayi-Samuel netted 3 goals in 23 appearances in the first half of the season whilst at Queens Park Rangers.
The 23-year-old spent 589 minutes on the pitch in total before scoring his first goal in a Fenerbache shirt.
Fenerbahce have closed the gap on table-toppers Besiktas to two points but have played a game more than their Istanbul rivals.
