Revealed : Anjorin involved in Chelsea final training session before trip to Spain
Published: April 07, 2021England youth international of Nigerian descent Faustino Anjorin was involved in Chelsea's final workout on English soil before their trip to Spain for the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal clash against Porto at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán in Seville.
In the final training session streamed live on Chelsea's YouTube channel, Anjorin was spotted working out with the first team stars.
After running the rule over the attacking midfielder cum winger, German manager Thomas Tuchel opted to omit the Anglo-Nigerian teenager from the traveling party to the Andalusian Province.
Christian Pulisic, Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Hakim Ziyech and Kai Havertz are the attacking midfielders and wingers that traveled to Spain.
Anjorin made his Champions League debut in a 1-1 draw against Krasnodar in December 2020 - his first start for Chelsea's first team - and was on the bench when they faced Atlético Madrid in the last sixteen second leg exactly three weeks ago.
He was not in the Chelsea squad held to a 1-1 draw by West Ham in the Premier League 2 on Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, Nigeria left-back Zaidu Sanusi is in contention to be named in Porto's matchday 23 as he is currently with the squad in Spain.
