Slavia Prague No. 9 Olayinka reacts to draw against Arsenal in Europa League
Published: April 09, 2021Peter Olayinka has taken to social media to react to Slavia Prague drawing 1-1 with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League quarter-finals on Thursday.
The Slavia Prague number 9 started and put in an 85-minute shift before making way for Ibrahim Traore, a minute before the Gunners opened the scoring.
Nicolas Pepe seemed to have given the north London team a win when he dinked the ball over the goalkeeper and in, only for the lead to be erased in the fourth minute of added time as Tomas Holes netted with a header.
Manager Jindrich Trpisovsky deployed Olayinka on the left wing and he had Slavia's first attempt on target in the 35th minute with a left-footed effort from the edge of the box but it was easily saved by Leno.
The Nigeria international posted on Instagram using emojis to describe his feelings following the draw.
"🇳🇬🦅🔴⚪️🐅🍀😎," Olayinka wrote.
Olayinka has helped Slavia Prague remain undefeated in their last five matches in the Europa League, all against British opponents, scoring once and providing two assists.
