Ex-Napoli midfielder claims Osimhen is better than former Chelsea striker Morata
Published: April 14, 2021Former Napoli midfielder Salvatore Bagni reckons that Victor Osimhen is a better player than ex-Chelsea striker now at Juventus, Alvaro Morata.
The Nigeria international has had a difficult first season at Napoli due to injuries but Bagni has backed him to eventually come good.
While Osimhen has been involved in seven goals (5 goals and 2 assists) in 1, 292 minutes of action this term, Atlético Madrid loanee Morata has registered double figures in goals and assists (17 goals and 12 assists) for Juventus.
"Before judging the performance of the Nigerian we must also consider the number of minutes played," Bagni said during the programme Gonfia La Rete (via Area Napoli).
"The Nigerian has missed many games. For me he is much stronger than Alvaro Morata".
Osimhen joined the Partenopei for an initial 70 million euros last summer, making him the club's most expensive acquisition in history.
