Arsenal manager promotes two Nigeria-eligible teenagers to first team training pre-Slavia Prague
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta promoted two Nigeria-eligible teenagers to first team training on Wednesday before his side's trip to the Czech Republic capital, where they face Slavia Prague in a mouthwatering UEFA Europa League clash.

The 19-year-old striker Folarin Balogun and 18-year-old central midfielder Miguel Azeez were spotted training with the first team at London Colney.

Both Anglo-Nigerian players have been registered in the Gunners Europa League squad via the B List, consisting of professional players under 21 years old that have spent at least three seasons at the club.

Balogun made his professional debut against Dundalk in the Europa League back in October while his domestic debut was against Manchester City in a Carabao Cup fixture in December 2020.

As for Azeez, his only appearance to date for Arsenal's first team was against Dundalk on matchday six in the group stage of the Europa League.

The two players are products of Arsenal's Hale End Academy, with Azeez joining at the age of five and Balogun when he was eight years.

Arsenal must score in Prague to stand a chance of progressing to the semifinals of the Europa League as they were held to a 1-1 draw in the quarterfinal first leg six days ago.
