Anjorin involved in Chelsea's final training session ahead of blockbuster FA Cup clash vs Man City
Published: April 17, 2021German football tactician Thomas Tuchel called up Anglo-Nigerian youngster Faustino Anjorin to train with the first team ahead of their blockbuster Emirates FA Cup semifinal clash against Manchester City at Wembley, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
The England youth international is presumably in the Blues' provisional squad as he was spotted training with the first team in their final workout held at Chelsea Training Ground in Cobham on Friday, April 16, 2021.
The chances have brightened for Anjorin to be named in the matchday 20 with Mateo Kovacic and Andreas Christensen unavailable for selection due to injuries.
The attacking midfielder cum winger has already tasted action twice for the Stamford Bridge outfit in this season's FA Cup, playing for ten minutes against Morecambe in the third round, while he was in action for 21 minutes in the hard-fought win versus Barnsley in the fifth round.
This season, Anjorin has been involved in only eleven games for Chelsea's youth teams in all competitions due to a combination of injury and being promoted to first team training.
Former Nigeria international Victor Moses was in the Chelsea side that last won the FA Cup, beating Manchester United 1-0 in the 2018 final.
