Crotone's Simy scores in 7th consecutive game; Aubameyang only African with longer scoring streak
Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo netted for the seventh consecutive game as Crotone were beaten 2-1 by Udinese in a Serie A match staged at the Stadio Ezio Scida on Saturday afternoon.

Midway through the second half, the Nigeria national teamer equalised from the spot after De Paul had given the visitors the lead but Crotone came away empty handed as De Paul, again, scored the winning goal with sixteen minutes left.

According to OPTA, Simy has found the net in each of his last 7 league games: the last African player to score in more consecutive appearances in the top-5 European Leagues was Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with Borussia Dortmund in 2015 (10).

During those seven games, the Crotone number 25 found the net on ten occasions - netting braces against Torino, Lazio and Napoli, and his other strikes came against Atalanta, Bologna, Spezia and Udinese.

He is the top scoring player in the big five European Leagues since the beginning of March, ahead of Karim Benzema (Real Madrid), Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich), Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur) and Kelechi Iheanacho (Leicester City) who have seven goals to their names.

Despite Simy's remarkable form, Crotone need a miracle to avoid relegation as they are currently bottom of the Serie A seven matches to the end of the season.
