Photo : Chelsea boss runs the rule over Nigeria-eligible winger before trip to Real Madrid
Published: April 26, 2021Chelsea's German football tactician Thomas Tuchel is considering including Faustino Anjorin in his traveling squad for Tuesday's UEFA Champions League semifinal clash against Real Madrid.
The former Borussia Dortmund and PSG coach promoted Anjorin to first team training on Monday morning, the team's final workout on English soil before the trip to the Spanish capital.
The training got underway at around 1100 hours and part of the session was streamed live by Chelsea's YouTube page.
One of the first players to arrive along with Billy Gilmour, the Anglo-Nigerian winger started by jogging on the pitch.
Anjorin has not featured for Chelsea in the Champions League since making his full debut for the first team against Krasnodar in their final group game back in December and his other squad involvement was against Atlético Madrid at Stamford Bridge last month.
As he has showed once again this season, the England youth international is a key player for Chelsea U23s, with a goal involvement of eight (4 goals and 4 assists) in ten Premier League 2 matches, but has found it difficult breaking into the first team on a permanent basis despite his versatility.
