Former Chelsea coach Ranieri wants to sign 8M Euro-rated Super Eagles star for Sampdoria

According to the print edition of Italy's sports daily La Gazzetta dello Sport, former Chelsea manager Claudio Ranieri wants to sign Crotone striker Simeon Tochukwu Nwankwo for his Sampdoria side in the summer.
The Nigeria national teamer has been one of the revelations of the Italian Serie A this season, netting 19 goals in 33 games, bettered only by Juventus' Cristiano Ronaldo (25) and Inter Milan's Romelu Lukaku (21).
With Crotone doomed to relegation and Simy entering the final twelve months of his contract in July, the Sharks are willing to listen to offers for their number 25.
Bought from Portimonense for a fee of 850,000 euros in July 2016, Crotone are determined to squeeze out as much money as they can in exchange for the striker.
The clubs interested in signing the 28-year-old, including Sampdoria, will have to meet their asking price of eight million euros.
Sampdoria will first have to offload some players before funds will be available to sign the Nigerian.
