Arsenal icon reveals who he thinks will play the Victor Moses role at Tottenham Hotspur
Arsenal icon Martin Keown has suggested that Tottenham Hotspur's Brazil international Lucas Moura could take up the role Victor Moses used to play during Antonio Conte's two-year spell in charge of Chelsea.

Conte was appointed Tottenham coach last week following the sacking of Nuno Espirito Santo and is unbeaten in his first two games, beating Vitesse 3-2 in the Europa Conference League before a goalless draw at Everton in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

The formation favoured by the Italian is the 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 system which worked so well for him at Chelsea, winning the Premier League in 2016-2017 and the FA Cup the following season.

After spending three successive seasons on loan at Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham United, Moses became a key player for Chelsea under Conte who converted him into a right wing-back.

Just like Moses thrived with Conte in the dugout at Chelsea, Keown believes Lucas Moura, who is predominantly a winger and striker, can make an impact as a wing-back.

"Who he uses at right wing-back will be interesting, too. At Chelsea, Victor Moses went from being surplus to a regular starter. That included Cesar Azpilicueta being moved to the right of the back three," Keown said in his Daily Mail column.

"We could even see Lucas Moura at right wing-back and Emerson Royal as a central defender."

Moses also played the wing-back role when he reunited with Conte at Inter Milan in the second half of the 2019-2020 season.
