Watford striker Dennis says Chelsea and Manchester United legends are his current idols
Published: November 27, 2021Emmanuel Dennis has disclosed that Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo and Chelsea icon Eden Hazard are his current idols, and retired Brazil international Ronaldinho was his idol growing up.
The Nigeria international has made a splash in the Premier League since joining Watford from Club Brugge in the summer for a transfer fee of four million euros.
In eleven outings in the English top-flight, Dennis has directly participated in nine goals (4 goals, 5 assists), six of which came in his last three matches.
Goalscoring machine Ronaldo is one of the best footballers in history and it's not surprising that Dennis adores him, while Hazard currently at Real Madrid captains the top ranked FIFA nation, Belgium and enjoyed success at Chelsea.
Dennis responded to questions asked by supporters on Watford's midweek show, Inside The Hive.
On his idol, he was quoted as saying by the club's official webpage : "Ronaldinho. He was really different and I used to watch him when I was growing up. I was really into him and his style of football.
"As I grew up I switched over to Ronaldo, Hazard – I just watch everybody because I’m a fan of football so I love very good football players.
"I’m a fan of every good football player so I watch every football player, even my teammates. I then pick and try to add it to myself."
Dennis and his Watford teammates are guests to Leicester City in their next Premier League match.
