Allnigeriasoccer.com's round-up of Nigeria-eligible players that were in action for their respective clubs in the English Premier League on Wednesday, December 1, 2021.

At St. Mary's Stadium, it finished 2-2 between Southampton and Leicester City with three players of Nigerian descent in action.

While Wilfred Ndidi lasted the distance, Ademola Lookman and Nathan Tella started and were in action for 61 and 65 minutes respectively for the Foxes and Saints, Kelechi Iheanacho was a non-playing substitute for the third time in four Premier League games.

Southampton broke the deadlock inside three minutes when Jan Bednarek turned the ball home from close range, Jonny Evans pounced on the rebound and fired home after Ndidi's shot was saved by goalkeeper McCarthy in the 22nd minute to equalise for the visitors.

Che Adams put the Saints back in front in the 34th minute but James Maddison's right-footed finish early in the second half ensured the points were shared.

Ndidi was shown a yellow card by referee Robert Jones in the 82nd minute for hauling down Walker-Peters.

It's now five defeats in seven for Watford under new boss Claudio Ranieri following their 2-1 loss to table toppers Chelsea at Vicarage Road.

Emmanuel Dennis passed a fitness test and was included in the Hornets starting lineup along with international teammate William Troost-Ekong with both going the distance.

The Watford number 25 looked exciting over the course of the game and was rewarded with a goal in the 43rd minute when he rolled the ball into the bottom corner.

Mason Mount scored Chelsea's first goal in the 29th minute and made the second for Hakim Ziyech at minute 73.

At Goodison Park, Everton lost 4-1 to their city rivals Liverpool with Nigeria international Alex Iwobi watching proceedings from the bench.

The Reds raced into a two-goal lead inside the opening 20 minutes thanks to strikes from Jordan Henderson and Mohamed Salah but Demarai Gray reduced the deficit before the break.

In the second half, Jurgen Klopp's team showed their class, Salah again scored and Diogo Jota smashed the ball into the roof of the net to wrap up the scoring in the 79th minute.

Steven Gerrard suffered his first defeat as coach of Aston Villa after Pep Guardiola's Manchester City recorded a 2-1 win at Villa Park.

Anglo-Nigerian teenager Carney Chukwuemeka came off the bench to replace Matt Targett in the 67th minute, his first game since the appointment of the Liverpool icon as manager.

Stunning first half goals from Ruben Dias and Bernardo Silva were enough to secure all three points for the defending champions; Ollie Watkins pulled a goal back for the Lions two minutes into the second half.
