Nottingham Forest interested in Arsenal's history-making striker of Nigerian descent
Nottingham Forest are the latest Championship club linked with a move for Arsenal striker of Nigerian descent Folarin Balogun.

Last month, Balogun became the top scorer in Premier League 2 history after finding the net five times to take his tally to 35 goals in 56 appearances since he debuted in the division four years ago.

Nottingham Forest News citing Telegraph's John Percy says Forest are in the mix for the highly coveted center forward.

The Reds have to see off competition from Championship rivals Millwall, Middlesbrough, Bournemouth and Swansea City to land the signature of the Hale End Academy graduate.

Arsenal have sanctioned the temporary departure of the Anglo-American-Nigerian starlet as he has found it difficult to break into the starting lineup after his promotion to the first team in 2021-2022.

Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper is keen to add another striker to the squad in the January transfer window and is interested in bringing Balogun to the City Ground.

The England U21 international is also open to joining a club in the German Bundesliga and French Ligue 1.
