In a thrilling game at Anfield, Liverpool came from behind to defeat Leicester City on penalties to advance to the semifinals.

Nigeria international Wilfred Ndidi continues to deputize for the injured Jonny Evans at central defence and went the full ninety in that position, Kelechi Iheanacho who has recovered from his health issues came off the bench in the 56th minute and Ademola Lookman was a non-playing substitute.

Jamie Vardy netted a four-minute double, Oxlade-Chamberlain responded for the hosts, Maddison restored Leicester City's two-goal advantage in the first half before Diogo Jota hit back in the second half.

Takumi Minamino brought Anfield to its feet when he scored a stoppage time equaliser to rescue it for Liverpool and send the game to penalties.

Iheanacho, Leicester's fifth penalty taker was successful from the spot, but the Foxes crashed out after Thomas and
Bertrand missed their kicks.

Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka came off the bench for the last sixteen minutes as Brentford lost 2-0 at home to Chelsea.

Norway youth international of Nigerian descent Bryan Fiabema who trained with Chelsea's first team this week has to wait for his first senior call-up as he wasn't picked in the matchday squad by manager Thomas Tuchel.

Chelsea had to wait for 80 minutes before breaking the deadlock through an own goal from Pontus Jansson, and Jorginho netted the clinching goal from the penalty spot five minutes later after Christian Pulisic was fouled in the area.

Tobi Omole was not in the Tottenham Hotspur team that beat West Ham United 2-1 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Steven Bergwijn converted from close range to open the scoring for Spurs in the 29th minute, Jarrod Bowen rolled the ball past  Lloris to equalise on 32 minutes and the home team were back in front when Lucas Moura guided the ball home in the 34th minute.
