Published: January 02, 2022Daryl Dike, the younger brother of former Super Eagles striker Bright Dike, has completed a permanent transfer to West Brom, the Baggies informed via their official website on New Year's Day when the transfer window opened for business.
The younger Dike is cap-tied to his country of birth, United States after earning five caps during the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
The 21-year-old has put pen to paper on a four-and-a-half-year contract with the Baggies, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2025-2026 season.
Although the transfer fee has not been disclosed by West Brom, ESPN's Jeff Carlisle has reported that Orlando City FC will receive a $9.5 million transfer fee, performance-based bonuses and 20% of any future sale.
Dike played under current West Brom boss Valérien Ismaël at Barnsley in the second half of the 2020-2021 season, scoring nine goals in 22 appearances in all competitions.
Subject to international clearance, he could make his debut for West Brom against Queens Park Rangers on January 15.
