Championship clubs and Southampton in transfer battle to sign Chelsea's Anglo-Nigerian midfielder
It is looking likely that Faustino Anjorin will not complete his season-long loan move at Lokomotiv Moscow following the departure of Ralf Rangnick to Manchester United.

Chelsea correspondent for Goal.com, Nizaar Kinsella claims the Chelsea-owned attacking midfielder will go on loan to an EFL Championship club before the close of the winter transfer market.

He added that four clubs are competing for the signature of the England U20 international of Nigerian descent ahead of deadline day.

Premier League side Southampton are also eyeing a move for Anjorin in January although a summer move looks more likely.

This season, he has taken part in nine matches for Lokomotiv Moscow, scoring his first senior goal in a Europa League group stage match against Marseille and totaled 293 minutes on the pitch.

Anjorin departed Moscow in November last year to receive treatment at Chelsea after he was diagnosed with a fracture of the metatarsal bone.

The 20-year-old is represented by his Nigerian dad, Sheriff Anjorin.
