Rangnick includes Anglo-Nigerian wonderkid in revised Champions League squad
Anglo-Nigerian wonderkid Shola Shoretire has been retained by interim boss Ralf Rangnick in Manchester United's revised Champions League squad for the knockout rounds of the competition.

The Red Devils have submitted an updated squad list to the governing body of football in Europe, UEFA following the close of the January transfer window, with Shoretire among the youngsters named on Player List B.

A player may be registered on List B if he is born on, or after, 1 January 2000 and has been eligible to play for the club concerned for any uninterrupted period of two years since his 15th birthday by the time he is registered with UEFA.

The 18-year-old Shoretire qualified to be registered on List B as he has played nonstop at United for nine years.

The promising teenager has been utilized predominantly as a winger for Manchester United's youth teams and is also comfortable playing as an attacking midfielder.

Manchester United's qualification for the last sixteen of the Champions League with a game to spare paved the way for Shoretire to make his debut in the competition, coming off the bench for the last 22 minutes in a 1-1 draw with Young Boys in December.

The club's current Young Player of the Year has directly participated in 14 goals (7 goals, 7 assists) in 21 outings in all competitions this season and trained with the first team before the FA Cup clash versus Middlesbrough.
