Super Eagles GK applauds ex-teammate Kai Havertz after game-winning goal for Chelsea
Kai Havertz has done it again after scoring another game-winning goal for Chelsea on Saturday.

Havertz repeated his heroics in the UEFA Champions League final by scoring the match winner as the Blues defeated Brazilian outfit Palmeiras 2-1 to win their first ever Club World Cup title.

With penalties looming, the Chelsea number 29 got his name on the scoresheet in the 117th minute when he converted a spot kick after a handball by Luan.

Düsseldorf -born Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has applauded the Germany international for his crucial goal against Palmeiras.

Okoye is pals with Havertz as they were teammates at the Bayer Leverkusen academy for five years before the striker was promoted to the first team and the goalkeeper switched to Fortuna Düsseldorf.

In an Instagram post after the Club World Cup final, Chelsea shared a video of Havertz scoring from the spot and wrote, "Cold as you like. @kaihavertz29 @fifaworldcup #ClubWorldCup #CFC #Chelsea".

The video has been liked by Okoye and 434,392 Instagram users including Chelsea academy product Ola Aina.

Okoye and Havertz follow each other on Instagram.
