Southampton boss confirms Nigeria-eligible winger is out of clash against Everton
Published: February 18, 2022Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhüttl has confirmed that Super Eagles hopeful Nathan Tella will play no part when his side take on Everton in a Premier League clash on Saturday.
The former Arsenal schoolboy has suffered another setback in his recovery from a groin injury and is not available for selection for the game at the St Mary's Stadium.
Tella has been absent from Southampton's last four games in all competitions after picking up an injury against Wolverhampton Wanderers on January 15.
Speaking to reporters at the pre-match press conference, Hasenhüttl stated : "So far we have nearly everybody in the sessions.
"We have Nathan Tella still out, he had a bit of a setback with his injury so it takes one more week to recover properly."

Tella was being monitored by Gernot Rohr's chief scout in England, Tunde Adelakun with a view to a potential call up to the Super Eagles, before the German was relived of his duties in December.
Of his ten appearances in this season's Premier League, seven were starts and the 22-year-old was named in the starting lineup in four matches in Cup competitions.
